Quitting Smoking
Are you ready to quit? If you can answer that question with a strong yes, then you will greatly benefit from acupuncture. Like any method of quitting smoking, acupuncture requires a mental commitment to success. Treatments aid in flushing nicotine from the body, calming anxiety and nervousness, improving sleep, and drastically curbing cravings. It is recommended that you discontinue cigarette use after the first session, and with this approach, cessation usually occurs with three sessions over the course of one week. If you prefer a slow and gradual approach, we can extend the course of treatment to fit your preference, however most patients report having an easier time with the shorter method.
Once you’ve quit smoking, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are fantastic resources to restore your health by detoxifying the body, improving sleep and digestion, and preventing the dreaded post-quit weight gain.
